Poetry - my silent dreams

Destructive Secrets

Hiding is so easy
No one really needs to know
How this life has shaped her
What made the sorrows grow

It's eating her alive
All the feelings deep within
No one needs to know it
She will not let them in

Gradually growing
Too hard to make it stop
Who can help her end it
Before it makes the top

Slowly going mental
But still hiding it so well
Asking how she's doing
Oh what lies she will tell

How will this story end
Maybe tell a friend today
Be happy once again
Impossible to say

Maybe she will break down
Give in to all the tears
No will to continue
Get rid of all the fears

Maybe you already
Know someone just like she
Who won't share her worries
You mustn't let her be

She needs to know you care
To get her back on track
And do not leave her side
'Til her old self is back

It only takes to little
But means so very much
A pure and simple gesture
The heart will really touch

Imagine the difference
That it would mean to you
So take the extra time
Make your friend feel less blue

Enquire what is wrong
The time may still there
Make sure you do it now
While your friend is still here
